Transfer between study programs at the School of Computing (RAF) / from other academic institutions

TRANSFER BETWEEN STUDY PROGRAMS AT THE RAF

Students of the Faculty can switch from one study program to another at any time if the number of students in the target program of study is less than the maximum number for which the study program is accredited.

Before transferring, students are required to pass all compulsory courses prescribed by the target program of study up to the point of transfer, and to acquire the appropriate number of ECTS points required for enrollment to the desired year of study.

All the courses that a student passes at the old and the new program, as well as the sum of their ECTS points, are entered in the Diploma Supplement which is issued upon completion of studies.

TRANSFER FROM OTHER ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS

  • Students who have passed the entrance exam at another university or college of academic studies

Candidates who have passed the entrance exam at another faculty may enroll in the School of Computing (RAF) without an entrance examination if they have at least 51 points, counting as follows:

number of points = 2 * (mathematics + school)

where:
mathematics = the number of points at the entrance exam in mathematics (a maximum of 30),
school = the sum of average grades of all four years of high school (a maximum of 20).

  • Students who have not completed studies at other universities or colleges

Continued study at the RAF is possible providing they submit a certificate of passed exams.

A commission of the Faculty assesses the number of exams passed and ECTS points that may be recognized at RAF for the chosen study program.

  • Students who have not yet completed their studies at higher expert studies

Students of high expert studies can enroll to the first level of the School of Computing (RAF) under certain conditions. These students must enclose a certificate of passed exams at their previous school that includes a number of ECTS points for each subject.

  • Transfer of ECTS points from other academic institutions

Candidates who enroll in a degree program at the School of Computing (RAF), with recognized examinations passed at another higher education institution will, as a rule, be recognized the number of ECTS points these examinations are worth at RAF.

If the School of Computing (RAF) has signed an agreement on the recognition of credits with the higher education institution from which the candidate is transferring, he/she is recognized the number of ECTS points acquired at that institution.
