Programs of study

In the 2015/2016 school year, the School of Computing, Union University shall enroll 70 students in the undergraduate study programs, and 30 students in the program of basic expert studies:

COMPUTER SCIENCE (25 students)

a program of undergraduate studies that lasts four years and is worth 240 ECTS points/credits

COMPUTER ENGINEERING (25 students)

a program of undergraduate studies that lasts four years and is worth 240 ECTS points/credits

COMPUTER DESIGN (20 students)

a program of undergraduate studies that lasts four years and is worth 240 ECTS points/credits

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES (30 students)

a program of basic expert studies that lasts three years and is worth 180 ECTS points/credits

 
Preparatory courses
 

As in previous years, the School of Computing (RAF) organizes preparatory courses in mathematics and informatics. Classes are designed for those who want to successfully pass the entrance exam for enrollment at RAF, as well as other interested students who wish to prepare for the entrance exam regardless of which college they want to enroll in.

For all payments made up to 31.12.2015. whether for a longer or accelerated preparatory class, the price includes the entrance exam.

Signing up can be done online, by phone or in person at the secretariat of the faculty. The price of preparatory classes for undergraduate studies is 10,000 dinars (Mathematics and Computer Science), and 5,000 dinars for undergraduare applied studies (Computer Science). The price includes the Collection of solved examples in mathematics. The price of the entrance exam is 4,000 dinars for the academic and 2,000 dinars for the basic expert studies.

Preparatory courses start on February 7 and last until April 25 2016.

Preparatory courses in mathematics will be held on Saturdays from 10am (3 hours). The total number of classes is 30.

Preparatory courses in Computer Science will be held at distance.

Accelerated preparatory classes in mathematics will be held from 6 to 17 June 2016, three hours a day.

Classes are held in the center of Belgrade, in the classrooms of the School of Computing, Knez Mihailova 6, sixth floor.

The terms and price of preparatory classes for the academic program Computer Design will be duly announced, after completion of the accreditation.

 Entrance exam

Candidates for enrollment in undergraduate studies take an entrance exam in mathematics and computer science, and candidates for enrollment in the basic expert studies take only the exam in computer science. The entrance examination consists of examples that are found in the Collection of solved examples in mathematics and in the online materials for the preparation of entrance examinations in Informatics.

The content of preparatory classes
 

Preparatory courses in mathematics were prepared on the basis of the current material that is taught in secondary schools, and includes the following areas:

  • Trigonometry,
  • Geometry,
  • Algebra,
  • Logarithms.

Preparatory courses in Computer Science, because of the diversity of educational programs in secondary schools, represents the optimal combination of knowledge of basic computing, operating systems and business applications and include the following areas:

  • Numeral systems,
  • Algorithms and block diagrams,
  • Windows operating system,
  • Microsoft Office.

The content of preparatory classes for the study program Computer Design will be announced in due course, after completion of the accreditation.
